0.25mm is about as fine as WDT needles get, and finer needles disturb the bed less on the way out than they do on the way in. One press, spring-back return, adjustable depth.

WDT — Weiss Distribution Technique — is stirring the dose with fine needles before tamping. It is the cheapest fix for channelling there is.
Check your size before ordering. Portafilter diameter is stamped on most baskets, and a bottomless portafilter must match both the diameter and the lug pattern of your group head.
